Moves in fintech:
- 500-backed fintech startup First Circle launched a revolving credit line to support at least 10,000 micro, small and medium enterprises in the Philippines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
- EMQ is one of two companies soon to be able to apply for formal licenses for an experimental money transfer service that it was permitted to set up in 2019 to cater to migrant workers in Taiwan.

- Enabled by 500-backed edtech startup Gnowbe, Singapore becomes the first country in the world to roll out a course developed by Intel to demystify artificial intelligence (AI) for the man in the street.
- amalan international announced a partnership with an Indonesian institution of tertiary education, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), to complement classes with experiential learning opportunities at amalan.

Startups battling COVID-19:
- Fintech startup Impact Credit Solutions (ICS) launched the Indonesian Resilience Fund (IRF), a US$40 million fund that will support Indonesia’s healthcare sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. More on Daily Markup #221.
- Prenetics was featured in The Guardian for the launch of its COVID-19 test pods across IWG premises, the UK’s largest flexible workspace provider.
