  • To enhance experiences for their drivers, vendors, and customers, he stopped “business as usual” across Grab for a 9-week Generative AI sprint. 
  • The sprint culminated in the launch of AI Merchant Assistant, which was developed in collaboration with OpenAI and Anthropic. Integrated within the GrabMerchant app, this tool offers small businesses operational insights and sales recommendations.
  • The team also launched AI Driver Companion, co-developed with OpenAI, a ride guidance tool that predicts high-demand areas using real-time and historical data.
  • it also features a voice reporting tool enabling drivers to verbally report road conditions, thereby improving the accuracy of GrabMaps.​
  • By developing AI solutions specifically for merchants and drivers, Grab leverages their unique position at the intersection of multiple services, applying AI to real-world operational challenges and creating tangible value for their partners.
