  • Hot off the press: The Asia Tech Salary Report 2025! The 3rd edition of this annual report by 500-backed tech talent platform NodeFlair leverages insights from over 130,000 salary data points across different roles and countries. Here are some key insights:
    • Software engineer salaries in Singapore rose by 3.3% YoY in 2024, bouncing back from a 1% decline in 2023.
    • Game engineers saw the highest increase in salary of 28% across the board from junior to senior roles.
    • Despite the hype around Generative AI, data-related roles in Singapore saw salary drops of 1.2% to 2.4%, in contrast to the 11.3% YoY growth in 2023. This is due to companies leveraging off-the-shelf AI solutions like OpenAI rather than building from scratch.
    • 7 out of 16 tech job categories in Singapore saw salary decreases in 2024, with cybersecurity professionals hit hardest (down 4.6% YoY).
    • Blockchain engineers in the 90th percentile enjoyed salary increases of 28% to 41%, while mid-tier earners saw a decline. This disparity is linked to more top talent working remotely for higher-paying overseas firms.
  • “The tech sector continues to grapple with uncertainties amidst layoffs and the rise of AI.” shared Ethan Ang, Founder & Managing Director. “That said, it is heartening to see signs of recovery with Software Engineer salaries rising again, reversing the downward trend from last year.”
