Super success
- More companies are seeking to provide a multitude of offerings to their users that are outside of their core services. However, developing these features is not an easy task.
- In comes superapp enablers like 500-backed Boxo, who make it easier and faster to add on these services.
- Boxo helps businesses launch new services on their app without needing to develop them in-house. The team can deploy these miniapps in a matter of weeks.
- Founder & CEO Kaniyet Rayev shared that the company’s revenue from January to October has grown 5-6x year on year.
- The trend this year, according to Kaniyet, is travel. Just in the last 2 months, the team enabled eSIM services for two companies. This allows customers to purchase eSIMs directly through their respective apps.
- Another big adopter of the superapp strategy is digital banks. In the Philippines, Boxo inked a deal with a digital bank to integrate non-financial services, and worked with e-wallet GCash to embed pharmacy and grocery delivery services
- Kaniyet revealed that the team has built 600 mini apps on GCash alone.
- This year, Boxo has collaborated with 4 apps, with another 6-7 lined up for the year, almost doubling their current client base.
