  • Congratulations to 500-backed superapp Grab for being ranked second in Fortune’s 2024 Change the World list for their efforts in driving financial inclusion across Southeast Asia.
  • The team has been extending loans to gig workers – who often do not have – by leveraging data from their platform, such as driver earnings.
  • Grab also facilitates smaller, daily auto-deductions from earnings, ensuring that gig workers do not incur more debt than expected income, and eliminating the stress often associated with repayments.
  • The team has also helped micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) improve their cash flow and invest in their business growth.
  • Grab was also named Time’s World’s Best Companies of 2024.
  • The team also bagged the 2024 Red Dot Design Award in early 2024 for their in-house mapmaking camera, KartaCam 2, which was designed to improve navigation in challenging terrains across Southeast Asia such as narrow alleyways, indoor spaces and mountainous areas.
