Riding the sustainability trend

  • Show your love on Earth Day by skipping the landfill! Selling your preloved bicycle is just one tap away on Carousell, thanks to the 500-backed recommerce marketplace’s partnership with sports brand Decathlon.
  • This collaboration expands on Decathlon’s buy-back program, enabling Carousell users to go on the app to trade in used bicycles for a store gift card equivalent to the bicycle’s value.
  • Customers can book an appointment with Decathlon at their official second-hand store on Carousell. The bicycles will be assessed and refurbished for safety and comes with a 2-year warranty.
  • This also marks the launch of Carousell Group’s Brand Solutions, streamlining the process for brands to offer resale options to their customers. Brands can easily integrate resale and offer trade-in programs, as well as resale-as-a-service solutions.
  • JJ Eastwood, Senior Vice President, Brand Solutions, Carousell Group shared, “Carousell has been at the heart of the circular economy across the region for over a decade, with the goal of making secondhand transactions more trusted and convenient. Our partnership with Decathlon advances this mission, significantly benefiting buyers and sellers alike.”
