500-backed digital manufacturing platform Phasio is tapping into this potential with their end-to-end manufacturing interface, tailored to address existing friction points between manufacturers and customers.
They are helping local manufacturers manage customer relationships by simplifying the product design and production orders workflow; much of the communication still takes place over WhatsApp, SMS and email, according to the team.
Phasio automates all this by channeling WhatsApp/SMS/emails into its manufacturing interface. Its AI chatbot, ManufacturingGPT (mGPT), then asks customers about their requirements, helps them open a design request with the manufacturer, and provides an instant quote using Phasio’s automated pricing system.
The team secured US$2.5M in a seed round led by Airtree Ventures with participation from 500 Global, to scale their engineering team and accelerate its manufacturing interface with feature improvements, including developing mGPT’s AI capabilities.
Their goal is to make maintaining customer relationships easier, freeing up resources so local manufacturers can expand their businesses globally.

Over 50 local manufacturers in Singapore, Australia, Germany, India, the UK, Greece, and the Netherlands already use Phasio, primarily small- and medium-sized manufacturers in the additive, vacuum casting and molding segments.
