Blending well-being with work

  • Want a change of scenery at work? You’ll love WORQ Express, a self-service workspace solution catered to the digital nomad and workcation crowd, launched by 500-backed coworking space WORQ. .
  • And get this: their first outlet is located at Alunan Resort, a resort on Perhentian Island in Malaysia. This makes WORQ Express the first and only self-service coworking space on an island!
  • “Launching on an island offers a truly unique and unparalleled experience for our customers and Alunan’s guests,” Co-founder & CEO Stephanie Ping shared.
  • Working spaces in hotels are not new though. So, what’s attracting resorts to partner with WORQ? “By leveraging our online booking and inventory management system, we assist our partners in increasing online bookings efficiently, thereby relieving the operational burdens facing hotel and resort operators,” the WORQ team explained.
  • According to Stephanie, this signifies the company’s foray into reutilizing and unlocking the potential value of spaces across various property types. In addition to hotels and resorts, WORQ Express also plans on expanding into spaces such as office buildings, shopping malls, residences, airports, and even train stations!
  • The team added, “WORQ Express will serve as a complementary service to widen our network of coworking and flexible workspace solutions across Malaysia, supporting our ambition to triple our footprint to 450,000 sqft collectively by 2025, and empowering the users to work from anywhere within our network.”
  • WORQ is currently on track to double its total space under management to 200,000 square feet by the end of 2023.
