Resellers over retail
- 500-backed reseller management platform Ejen2u is raising a pre-Series A round, and Founder & CEO Sheikh Ezaiddin is eyeing an expansion to Indonesia by Q2 of 2023 with the funds.
- Ejen2u helps brand owners to set up a network of resellers, stockists, agents, and dropshippers. The platform is currently serving 400 brand owners ranging from food & beverage, beauty, health, fashion, lifestyle, and homeware. Sheikh shared that they are aiming for 800 brands in 2023.
- With the cultural similarities between Ejen2u’s home base Malaysia and Indonesia, plus the lack of a similar platform in the Indonesian market, he seeshuge potential for growth.
- In addition to the geographical expansion, the proceeds will be used to scale the company’s products, EjenGo, a reseller management platform; Wemap, a business education technology platform for resellers; and EjenVenture, a platform to help big brands and corporations to establish or create a new distribution channel using resellers.
- Since launching in 2019, the team shared they recorded ~US$106.5M in gross merchandise value (GMV) transactions, and they are aiming to triple their year-on-year revenue growth this year.
