  • Congratulations to 500-backed companies iMotorbike and Virtualtech Frontier (VTF) for being selected to join the 2023 SelectUSA Investment Summit in Maryland from 1-4 May!
  • Handpicked by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) in Malaysia, the two companies are part of a delegation of 11 startups. 
  • The event will be officiated by President Joe Biden and provides an opportunity for Malaysian tech startups to meet international venture capitalists (VCs),  investors and potential business partners. 
  • Organized by the US Department of Commerce, it provides a platform for global companies and economic development agencies from all 51 US states to establish trade and investment links.
  • Startups will be engaged in pitching and showcases, investor roundtable meetings and industrial visits, including to Draper University which is founded by the legendary VC Guru of Silicon Valley, Tim Draper.
  • The pitch event will be held for the first time at the Malaysian Embassy in Washington with around 30 startup founders from Singapore and Taiwan, as well as 70 business and political leaders, attending.
  • Startups will get to travel to Silicon Valley to meet with established American VCs and foreign startups, including a roundtable discussion with 500 Global.
