- The team just announced new in-app travel innovations and partnerships to give travelers a safe, seamless, and hyperlocal experience across Southeast Asia. The new features empower you to plan ahead, get a smooth ride the moment you touch down, and experience a destination like a local.
- “We want to be at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s travel revival, welcoming travelers back to the region with an enhanced Grab experience that is designed to help them travel with ease and peace of mind,” said Russell Cohen, Group Managing Director, Operations, Grab.
- “No one knows Southeast Asia like we do, and our goal is not only to deliver the safest and most seamless mobility experience, but also encourage travelers to explore the richness of Southeast Asia like a local through our super app offerings,” he added.
- New travel features in the Grab app:
- Traveler Homepage: Allows overseas travellers to explore a city within the Grab app as if they were at the destination. The app is now available in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese too.
- Translated merchant menus: Grab now translates merchant menus in key cities across Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand into English, as well as menus in Indonesia into Chinese
- Revamped Venues experience: Displays images of each pick-up point and provides image-based turn-by-turn walking directions to guide travelers even before they book their ride. This feature is available at all major airports and over 4,000 locations.
- Currency conversion: Automatically shows fares in travelers’ preferred local currency.
- What’s more, Grab is offering discounted rates for rides to and from 89 airports across Southeast Asia, and has teamed up with popular platforms such as WeChat, Alipay, Ctrip, Kakao T, and Booking.com to offer a seamless international experience
