Connecting everyone everywhere

  • When it comes to connectivity, the last mile often remains a challenge, especially in rural areas. Geographical barriers and high costs prevent many from getting access to the Internet, but this is about to change in rural Malaysia.
  • 500-backed superfast Internet company Transcelestial partnered with telecommunications solutions provider Teleplex to tackle this issue with wireless laser communications (lasercomms).
  • Together, they will offer lasercomms as a solution for government, telcos, and internet service providers in Malaysia in hard-to-reach rural areas, along with seaports for large enterprise customers.
  • “Connecting users quickly in both rural and urban areas is crucial towards ensuring connectivity for all, where difficult terrain or costs are potential barriers respectively. This partnership with Teleplex allows us to set up secure connectivity infrastructure quickly at a fraction of the cost and time than existing legacy infrastructures,” said Rohit Jha, Co-founder & CEO of Transcelestial.
