Agents of change
- When it comes to the gig economy, the first people that come to mind are delivery riders and e-hailing drivers. But did you know that sales agents are part of our informal economy too?
- This overlooked group of gig workers caught the attention of 500-backed SaaS startup Ejen2u, and the team just launched a one-stop agent management platform dedicated to helping small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) and startups increase business productivity and profitability through digitalization.
- Ejen2u offers a comprehensive suite of products and services including EjenGO (helps in managing businesses with up to 40 agents), WEMAP (a coaching and training tool), EjenStore (an advertising and affiliate sharing platform), JOOAL (a merchant platform catered to dropshippers), and EjenPay (a payment gateway).
- The team shared that since its inception 2 years ago, they have served more than 400 companies across various industries, have 250,000 active users on their platform, and have recorded up to ~US$58M in transactions.
- “Our goal was to build an ecosystem and change this informal industry into one that is structured and formal,” said Founder & CEO Sheikh Ezaiddin.
