Chang of 500-backed Taiwanese online booking platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.myfunnow.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FunNow<\/a> revealed the startup is eyeing a <a href=\"https:\/\/meet-global.bnext.com.tw\/articles\/view\/47305\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southeast Asia expansion<\/a>. It is also working on its Series B round of funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"900\" data-height=\"599\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db863e77d.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Meet\u00a0Global<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cOur next destination will be Singapore or Bangkok\u2026we plan to tap into the new markets through acquisitions or vertical integration (with local partners),\u201d she explained. \u201cWe are aiming to become one of the top three online lifestyle booking platforms in Singapore and Bangkok within three years.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Despite the impact of Covid-19, FunNow said that its revenue during the third quarter of 2020 grew approximately 50% on an annual basis.<\/li>\n<li>The startup also has a presence in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and several Japanese and Taiwanese cities. It claims to have a total of 1.5 million registered members across the globe.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Smooth sailing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed logistics startup <a href=\"https:\/\/cargobase.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cargobase<\/a> revealed its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freightwaves.com\/news\/sharp-increase-in-shippers-turning-to-automation-for-spot-buy-freight-procurement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">numbers in 2020<\/a>: a year-over-year growth across freight volumes (+119%), transactions (+47%), and revenues (+81%). It expects this trend to continue in 2021, with revenues tripling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"700\" data-height=\"467\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db86ab4f2.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: JOC<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cWe have seen very strong growth in the European market, which now makes up 30% of our global volume,\u201d said Wiebe Helder, CEO at Cargobase. \u201cWe expect to grow our volumes in Europe alone by at least fivefold this year with our newly closed deals and brand new sales team in our Amsterdam office.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Wiebe attributed this in part to a growing client base, with interest coming from new industries such as pharmaceuticals, health care, and perishable goods.<\/li>\n<li>This year, the startup is working on new features such as a flexible freight tender feature, last-mile GPS tracking, advanced data visualization options, and new APIs for both shippers and logistics providers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Add to cart<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed B2B e-commerce startup <a href=\"https:\/\/retailo.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Retailo<\/a> announced it has <a href=\"https:\/\/nation.com.pk\/08-Mar-2021\/retailo-hilal-foods-announce-partnership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">partnered with Hilal Foods Pvt Ltd<\/a>, a confectionary and food manufacturing company in Pakistan.<\/li>\n<li>With this partnership, local retailers will have access to a greater variety of products to order through Retailo\u2019s app. Both companies aim to tackle the supply chain issues of local retailers and store owners in the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1280\" data-height=\"847\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db8777840.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Tech in\u00a0Asia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Retailo co-founder Wahaj Ahmed said, \u201cWe are constantly looking to partner with more brands to meet the demand by expanding our portfolio and making more goods available for ordering through our app. The partnership with Hilal Foods will ensure a steady and sufficient supply of Hilal Foods products to retailers across the city.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Missed out the last Daily Markup?
