There are currently 30 eFisheryPoint locations across Indonesia, with 100 more slated to launch later this year.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe fresh money helps us to grow the company, open up access to launch our products throughout Indonesia, and achieve our vision to become the leading aquaculture intelligence company in Indonesia,\u201d said eFishery co-founder and CEO, Gibran Huzaifah.<\/li>\n<li>Congrats, Gibran and the eFishery team on the raise!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A new way to microblog<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In March, India-based and 500-backed peer-to-peer knowledge-sharing platform Vokal launched a microblogging app, called Koo, reminiscent of Twitter.<\/li>\n<li>However, the app is not available in English, but in 11 local Indian languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and more.<\/li>\n<li>Koo allows users to \u201cspeak their mind\u201d through 400 characters of text or 1-minute short audio or video \u201cKoos.\u201d You can also follow people, send 1\u20131 direct messages and use hyper-local hashtags on the app.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newindianexpress.com\/cities\/bengaluru\/2020\/aug\/13\/native-network-2182572.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New Indian Express<\/a>, co-founders, Mayank Bidawatka and Aprameya Radhakrishna, were inspired by Vokal, the knowledge-sharing platform in Indian languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1200\" data-height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da700736c.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Koo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cThere was no microblog for regional Indian language speakers,\u201d said Bidawatka.<\/li>\n<li>The app took off with over 100k downloads on Google Playstore. Most recently, it was selected among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianweb2.com\/2020\/08\/07\/koo-app-wins-pm-modis-aatmanirbhar-app-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winners<\/a> of the local government\u2019s Digital India AatmaNirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge.<\/li>\n<li>Koo also has celebrities, politicians, and sports personalities using the platform.
