Launched in 2017, Mitra Bukalapak serves as a business-to-business marketplace where shop owners connect with consumer goods companies to replenish stock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"960\" data-height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da6180252.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: DealStreetAsia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>With the Covid-19 crisis shifting consumer spending habits, e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, including Bukalapak, have been seeing surges of new users and merchants riding the digital wave.<\/li>\n<li>A survey conducted by Redseer is expecting Indonesia\u2019s e-commerce industry to grow 50% to reach US$35 billion this year from last year\u2019s US$23 billion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Pilot project<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific and 500-backed Prenetics have announced the launch of a digital health passport.<\/li>\n<li>Travelers will be allowed to show their negative Covid-19 test results on a mobile app before boarding, which potentially can ease international travel restrictions on them, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/business\/banking-finance\/article\/3101985\/cathay-pacific-and-prenetics-launch-london-hong-kong\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South China Morning Post<\/a> reported.<\/li>\n<li>The pilot will begin on the Hong Kong-London route from October 2020. The Commons Project, a Swiss-based non profit organisation backed by the Rockefeller Foundation, is also collaborating in the project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1200\" data-height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da61ed527.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: South China Morning\u00a0Post<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Prenetics has helped signal the return of live football and cricket behind closed doors in the UK, successfully providing testing for the Premier League\u2019s \u2018Project Restart\u2019 and the England and Wales Cricket Board.<\/li>\n<li>Through a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/football\/2020\/05\/08\/premier-league-spend-4-million-coronavirus-test-kits\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a34 million contract<\/a> with the Premier League, Prenetics has carried out over 40,000 tests for players and staff.<\/li>\n<li>It is also working with Matchroom Boxing, a leading boxing promoter, and Asia\u2019s fastest-growing hotel business, Dorsett Hospitality International.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Virtual properties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Property buyers in Singapore will have the chance to view listings from the comfort of their own homes, as 500-backed 99 Group\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.99.co\/blog\/singapore\/99-co-to-create-the-largest-property-marketplaces-in-singapore-and-indonesia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">99.co<\/a> is launching a virtual property fair with national media network Mediacorp and real estate agency PropNex.<\/li>\n<li>Happening from October 10 to December 4, The Singapore Property Show 2020 will be hosted on 99.co and feature 20 newly launched projects.<\/li>\n<li>The virtual tour will include interactive tours of listings, allowing expo goers to view properties with a peace of mind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1181\" data-height=\"665\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da62602b5.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: EdgeProp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cOur technology enables a rich virtual viewing experience that is much more convenient, yet no less informative than physical ones,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelnewsasia.com\/news\/business\/mediacorp-propnex-99-co-singapore-property-show-2020-13115894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> 99.co CEO Darius Cheung.<\/li>\n<li>In <a href=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/\/durians-daily-87-property-marketplace-99-group-to-scale-to-100-on-its-tech-team-in-12-months-1df03a82fa71\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent news<\/a>, 99 Group said it was hiring 100 staff members across multiple tech verticals to accelerate innovation in the real estate industry.<\/li>\n<li>The company has already hired tech veteran Shivkumar Krishnan\u200a\u2014\u200awho has previously worked at Microsoft, eBay, and Grab\u200a\u2014\u200aas CTO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Missed out the last Daily Markup?
