He revealed that top 25 forwarders are only winning 30% of the <em>ad hoc<\/em> airfreight business they bid for on the platform, down from 53% in Q1.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThe lack of automated quoting with the top forwarders is costing them heavily and, in consequence, benefiting the smaller players. As a result, we are seeing increased efforts from the top 25 to connect to their quoting engines,\u201d Wiebe <a href=\"https:\/\/theloadstar.com\/covid-disruption-sees-smaller-more-nimble-forwarders-score-over-big-rivals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1400\" data-height=\"934\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da40e63fc.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Cargobase<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The flexibility of micro forwarders allows them to adapt and integrate with external systems better, which is a plus-point in today\u2019s evolving shipping landscape.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cMost of the top 25\u2019s automation is focused on pre-agreed business, or with their own customer-facing platforms,\u201d he added.<\/li>\n<li>Spot-buy airfreight is surging as of late. Cargobase <a href=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/\/durians-daily-109-logistics-platform-cargobase-records-273-growth-while-helping-fortune-500-eb133ea1b39b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recorded growth<\/a> in transaction volume by 240% while revenue has risen 273% from a year earlier\u200a\u2014\u200aby far <a href=\"https:\/\/cargobase.com\/cargobase-reports-growth-by-helping-companies-navigate-covid-19-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the highest<\/a> on record since incepting seven years ago, according to the company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A worldwide shift<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Having amassed nearly 400,000 reviews, 500-backed abillionveg sought to understand the sentiment on the ground through its latest report, \u201cThe Era Of The Conscious Consumer\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>And it has found that consumers are not only becoming more selective of the establishments they frequent, but also discerning of the values those businesses uphold.<\/li>\n<li>Putting those observations in numbers, 73% of global consumers are likely to change their consumption habits to reduce their impact on the environment, and 57% of them would boycott a brand that doesn\u2019t share their social and ethical values.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"740\" data-height=\"443\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da41509fe.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: abillionveg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Consumers in Singapore and Argentine are most vocal among the countries abiillionveg surveyed. More than half of Singapore consumers feel strongly about the role of businesses in preventing harm to the environment. Meanwhile, 80% of them are willing to pay higher prices for socially conscious products.<\/li>\n<li>Breaking down the requests made directly to companies from users, abillionveg revealed that more than 60% and 40% of consumers\u2019 feedback called for more vegan options for dishes and products respectively.
