Based on the \u201ccollective\u201d, customers are charged a share of the cost of claims submitted in the previous month\u200a\u2014\u200aup to a capped fee. 80% of those premiums go towards paying for other customers\u2019 claims, and Laka said it then gets paid when the claim is settled.<\/li>\n<li>Most recently, it launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cyclingnews.com\/news\/laka-champions-mental-health-with-recovery-insurance-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Recovery<\/a>, a policy designed to support cyclists on and off the bike. Partnering with healthcare professionals, Laka aims to offer cyclists all they need to get back to full fitness if they\u2019re injured.<\/li>\n<li>Congrats on the win, team Laka!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eyes in the sky<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed drone tech firm Aerodyne has been assisting the police in New Delhi to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19.<\/li>\n<li>Thus far, Aerodyne has provided over 5,000 man-hours to Delhi authorities, specifically to ensure social distancing measures so the police can carry out their duties in a safe and contained environment.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cThese are unprecedented times and we want to do our part to keep the people safe. Drones and data technology have emerged as an exceptional low-cost tool for Police departments across the world to fight Covid-19. Drones offer a great vantage point and can cover a lot of ground in little time. The data is then analysed by an in-house research team. This helps the police manage their resources throughout the territory, without risk of the highly contagious virus.<\/li>\n<li>The platform also allows the police to plan the deployment of their forces with greater efficiency by identifying the key hotspots where violations take place.<\/li>\n<li>In Malaysia, where Aerodyne is based, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commercialdroneprofessional.com\/aerodyne-completes-1000-hours-of-drone-flight-for-malaysian-covid-19-emergency-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1,000 hours of flight time<\/a> were recorded in May, as a response to the country\u2019s Covid-19 emergency plans.
