Since the pandemic hit Indonesia in March, itemku has been experiencing a significant growth trajectory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1440\" data-height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da1017ead.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: itemku<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Its user base has increased by 78% says the company, with the number of new sign-ups seeing a sharp 97% rise.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, the uptick of in-game microtransactions for popular titles like <em>Mobile Legends<\/em> and <em>PUBG Mobile<\/em> is impacting itemku\u2019s profit significantly, which has grown by 45% compared to the previous period.<\/li>\n<li>The Android app launched last December is gaining popularity too. The number of installs has increased from an average of 2,800 to 5,100 per week.<\/li>\n<li>As the world marches into the \u201cnew normal\u201d, itemku is positive its growth spurt is here to stay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Telemedicine boom<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Telemedicine platforms like 500-backed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alodokter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alodokter<\/a> are helping Indonesians as they cope with limited physical access to medical resources.<\/li>\n<li>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.channelnewsasia.com\/news\/asia\/indonesia-covid-19-telemedicine-halodoc-alodokter-demand-rises-12829088\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Channel NewsAsia<\/a>, Alodokter CEO Nathanael Faibis says his platform has 1,000 doctors who are trained to answer Covid-19-related questions.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWe have a team of doctors to specifically deal with Covid-19 patients. They will have access to our doctors 24\/7.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"970\" data-height=\"544\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da109b628.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Alodokter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>After consultations, users can choose to schedule an appointment at one of the 1,300 hospitals Alodokter is working with.<\/li>\n<li>Before the pandemic, the platform had 20 million monthly active users. Now the number stands at 30 million.<\/li>\n<li>Launched in 2014, Alodokter has become a healthcare super-app allowing people to chat with doctors and medical professionals, book appointments, and manage their health insurance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ESPL x Oppo<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed esports network <a href=\"https:\/\/espl.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESPL<\/a> is joining hands with smartphone manufacturer Oppo and Malaysian telco company Digi to kickoff the first esports tournament in Malaysia since the easing of movement restriction orders in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7da1100f38.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: ESPL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Aptly named \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/espl.co\/oppo-partners-espl-to-launch-first-major-esports-event-in-malaysia-post-mco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OPPO Gaming Tournament Season 1<\/a>\u201d, the tournament will be hosted on ESPL\u2019s online platform at <a href=\"https:\/\/espl.gg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">espl.gg<\/a>. The prize pool has been set at RM25,000, with RM10,000 in cash and RM15,000 worth of OPPO products.<\/li>\n<li>In line with ESPL\u2019s goal to uncover hidden esports talent, the tournament will be targeted at amateur gamers.<\/li>\n<li>ESPL has been making strides in the esports scene globally.
