Some even feared that excessive reading could disconnect people from reality,\u201d shared Founder &amp; CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/es.linkedin.com\/in\/viedma\">Cristobal Viedma<\/a> of 500-backed edtech company <a href=\"https:\/\/lingokids.com\/\">Lingokids<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This historical skepticism toward new media mirrors today&#8217;s debates around children and screen time, leading to guilt and stigma among parents. But he believes that instead of focusing on how much screen time kids have, the real question should be what kind of screen time they\u2019re engaging in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That belief drives Lingokids\u2019 mission: to turn screen time into meaningful learning time. The efficacy of their approach has been supported by research, including a UC Davis study showing a 14% vocabulary boost in just 8 weeks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To date, Lingokids has raised over US$60M and continues to grow globally through their expanding user base and premium features.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The team also uses AI to enhance personalization \u2014 with a caveat. \u201cWe broadly use AI as a tool to improve the team\u2019s productivity, but never to purely create content that kids will consume.
