That\u2019s the model of 500-backed insurtech company <a href=\"https:\/\/laka.co\/gb\">Laka<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Their customers don\u2019t pay any upfront premiums and are charged based on the previous month\u2019s cost of claims, with an individual cap. Laka earns its success fee only when claims have been settled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It\u2019s no wonder Laka is a 6-time winner of the \u2018Best Cycle Insurance Provider\u2019 award and has grown their net revenue 145% year-on-year in Europe, totalling more than \u20ac200M (~US$214M)\u00a0 in insured value. Their next target? \u20ac1B.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laka is already serving customers in 9 countries in the region, including the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Germany.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWe\u2019re aiming to become Europe\u2019s leading micromobility service partner,\u201d Co-founder &amp; CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/tobiastaupitz\/\">Tobias Taupitz<\/a> shared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some of Europe\u2019s most renowned bike retailers and manufacturers have come to Laka for insurance, including the world\u2019s largest sports retailer Decathlon, and the Netherlands\u2019 largest bike manufacturer Gazelle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laka\u2019s customer-centric business model means they\u2019re also involved throughout the post-claim process.
