{"id":4965,"date":"2024-04-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/?p=4965"},"modified":"2024-04-15T10:11:43","modified_gmt":"2024-04-15T02:11:43","slug":"daily-markup-967-neuron-mobility-e-scooters-ride-their-way-into-new-zealands-heart-bringing-inclusivity-environmental-and-economic-benefits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/?p=4965","title":{"rendered":"Daily Markup #967: Neuron Mobility e-scooters ride their way into New Zealand\u2019s heart, bringing inclusivity, environmental and economic benefits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/DCLzpE4qzAPmPRuHd4VpNtJ-toX5PW2BCa4kxalF7BFY4cpYg0Gp_8xsHWtdmHOI9eZCqx8GOVkAckdtNlkwcKajZvA864dBtd9xjj853G2UiQ5iFLeKaotArvIpm4DoTU3T0Vh6PEfzqGWlHdf_jCQ\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo credit: Neuron Mobility<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wheely useful<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New Zealand is loving e-scooters, with a staggering 97% of riders believing that 500-backed <a href=\"http:\/\/rideneuron.com\">Neuron Mobility<\/a> has created a positive impact on their cities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The company released New Zealand\u2019s most comprehensive report of its kind, exploring inclusivity for people with disabilities, perceptions of safety, and environmental and economic benefits in the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Highlights from the report:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each Neuron e-scooter contributes NZ$13,500 (~US$8,120) to the local economies per year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over 50% of all e-scooter trips resulted in a purchase from a local business<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>11% of trips would not have happened at all if the e-scooters were not available, meaning local businesses would have missed out on valuable sales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-scooters are boosting the night-time economy while also supporting shift workers, with 19% of trips happening between 10pm and 6am.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6% of Neuron&#8217;s riders said they were disabled or had a mobility impairment, highlighting the need to make e-scooters available to everyone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over 50% of e-scooter trips are to commute to work or study; this is higher than the global average<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>36% of trips have replaced a car journey, improving air quality and congestion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jayden Bryant, GM of Australia and New Zealand for Neuron Mobility, shared, \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that the research shows Neuron&#8217;s e-scooters are boosting local economies and benefiting local businesses.
