However, with tourism now going through a slum, things were certainly looking less than optimistic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"768\" data-height=\"317\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d9700f6eb.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Split Team \/ Credit:\u00a0WiT<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Dylan Tan and his team had to think fast and adapt quickly if they were to keep Split around. Quick-thinking led the engineering team to rebuild Split\u2019s interface so it could be suited to partner with non-travel services, specifically with e-commerce and retail outlets across electronics, fashion, accessories and lifestyle brands.<\/li>\n<li>The reception has been overwhelmingly positive as the Split team copes with the sudden influx of new merchants from Malaysia and Singapore. In fact, Split is now contributing up to a third of its merchant sales.<\/li>\n<li>\u201c\u2026 we have big and small partners that demand equal attention to get on-boarded, so we\u2019re learning to spread our efforts and time a bit better,\u201d Dylan says in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webintravel.com\/dylan-tan-split-payments-solution-coronavirus-pivot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The integration of Split on these e-commerce platforms has also enabled greater spending power as some consumers have said that they wouldn\u2019t have been able to purchase the products had the solution not been available.<\/li>\n<li>Things are certainly looking up for Split. Lines between work and family are blurred. How does one juggle between tutoring a child and attending a Zoom call\u200a\u2014\u200aat the same time? Almost impossible.<\/li>\n<li>Thankfully, technology is an ally in times of such need. Used by 7 million families worldwide, Lingokids is an adaptive language learning platform and online classes to teach English to children from 2\u20138 years of age and is designed with Oxford University Press content.<\/li>\n<li>The classes are well-rounded, engaging children with creative and educational tasks and activities. Here\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lingokids.com\/blog\/posts\/lingokids-guide-to-staying-at-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thorough guide<\/a> for stay-at-home parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Friday Thoughts: Would you want to work from home <em>forever<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not for a few months. Not until Covid-19 is over. But forever. Indefinitely.<\/li>\n<li>That\u2019s exactly what Twitter is allowing. Early this week, CEO Jack Dorsey sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lingokids.com\/blog\/posts\/lingokids-guide-to-staying-at-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">company-wide email<\/a> to staff members, permitting them to work from home forever if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"6000\" data-height=\"4000\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d97097209.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by <a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/@escape_from_reality?utm_source=medium&amp;utm_medium=referral\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Djurdjica Boskovic<\/a> on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com?utm_source=medium&amp;utm_medium=referral\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unsplash<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>For many people, working from home feels exciting because they\u2019ve never done it at great length before the pandemic. It feels liberating. You know the common ones: Forgetting to clock out which increases the risk of overworking and juggling multiple responsibilities at home.<\/li>\n<li>What do you think?
