By focusing on the tech and product, these new startups can remain agile as they are not fettered by regulatory burdens,\u201d he concluded.<\/li><li>In a report on emerging tech trends in Southeast Asia, several 500-backed startups were featured:<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/\">Grab<\/a> &#8211; due to complete a SPAC merger next year valued at US$39.6 billion<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grab.com\/sg\/grab-financial-group\/\">Grab Financial Group<\/a> &#8211; grew US$300 million in 2021<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bukalapak.com\/\">Bukalapak<\/a> &#8211; recently went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, raising US$1.5 billion<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tradegecko.com\">TradeGecko<\/a> &#8211; sold to a US-based firm at a deal reportedly worth over US$80 million<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kredivo.com\/\">Kredivo<\/a> &#8211; parent company FinAccel has a SPAC listing valued at US$2.5 billion<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/stockbit.com\">Stockbit<\/a> &#8211; secured two rounds of funding this year totaling US$95 million<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.homage.sg\/\">Homage<\/a> &#8211; raised over US$40 million for its healthtech services since launching in 2016<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Download the full report by Global Private Capital Association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalprivatecapital.org\/research\/emerging-tech-trends-in-southeast-asia-private-capitals-role-in-driving-innovation\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/GSn1p_wWt7qP9u9Bc42U7Ql6Jt-l1d-97szeQa_wgUNDyJpKldwOKQwyurBOY5H1EQNjHs5YyfyTEeiFjlwNj66rsP5bQeru1NCiXLmFiMltPGiapXFq4Caa9OaeNQNmJRthb2kv\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption>Credit: Back End News<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A wider network<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>500-backed, Filipino fintech startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ayannah.com\/\">Ayannah<\/a> has partnered with another local fintech startup, NextPay, to allow NextPay customers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmanetwork.com\/news\/money\/companies\/812826\/nextpay-partners-with-ayannah-for-fund-disbursements-to-unbanked-recipients\/story\/\">disburse funds to unbanked recipients<\/a>.<\/li><li>According to a statement, the partnership will enable small businesses to send money to their employees, suppliers, and customers through about 10,000 partner remittance centers nationwide.<\/li><li>The CEO and co-founder of NextPay said that only three out of ten Filipinos have bank accounts. It will soon be tested at Gilmour\u2019s rocket test facility in Queensland.<\/li><li>The material has been developed to withstand temperatures of 3,200\u00b0C. It can also be used in other high-temperature applications such as jet engines, heat shields, and furnaces.<\/li><li>Researcher Paul Smith said, \u201cIt\u2019s critical for both rocket performance and avoiding catastrophic failure that the rocket motor casing is capable of withstanding the stresses caused by extreme temperatures and pressures.\u201d<\/li><li>The material also has a greater strength-to-weight ratio, which can help to reduce weight.
