She is also the CEO of the startup that recently <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2021\/09\/05\/singapore-based-caregiving-startup-homage-raises-30m-series-c\/\">raised US$30 million<\/a>.<\/li><li>Homage matches trained healthcare workers to families with seniors at home. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/homage-co_business-healthcare-entrepreneur-activity-6837979962784526336-SEYg\/\">Gillian told the BBC<\/a> that she believes the sick, aging population is one of the most important socio-economic issues to solve. The impact goes beyond the individual who needs care.<\/li><li>Often being in male-dominated settings, Gillian said that she is passionate about empowering women as well as debunking the myth that only women can be good caregivers.<\/li><li>On being an entrepreneur, she offered this advice: \u201cWhen good things happen, don\u2019t let it get to your head. And for companies with female CEOs? The profitability increases to 19%.<\/li><li>At 500-backed microlearning platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gnowbe.com\/\">Gnowbe<\/a>, 50% of its employees are female while about 40% of its leadership team are women.<\/li><li>Founder and CEO of the startup, So-Young Kang, revealed that <a href=\"https:\/\/aspioneer.com\/so-young-kang-transforming-traditional-ways-of-learning-skills\/\">Gnowbe coined the term \u2018microlearning course\u2019<\/a> (MLC). Francesca shared that she wants to provide a platform for people to build connections and eventually secure a more stable income.
