The rocket startup landed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.minister.industry.gov.au\/ministers\/taylor\/media-releases\/supporting-australian-businesses-join-international-space-supply-chains\">government grant<\/a> under the country\u2019s Moon to Mars initiative. This week, the media is all abuzz with co-founder and CEO Quek Siu Rui sharing with CNBC that the startup is exploring all options to grow the business, which includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/09\/20\/carousell-quek-siu-rui-on-ipo-plans.html\">likely initial public offering<\/a> (IPO).<\/li><li>\u201cWith this round of funding, we are actually in a very well-capitalized position for what we need to do, and that really is because of the great support that we have got from our investors,\u201d he said.<\/li><li>\u201cUltimately we want to make sure that we have a good investor base that will support our long-term growth story, who appreciates our business model and where we\u2019re headed,\u201d he added.<\/li><li>He also said that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/video\/2021\/09\/20\/trust-and-safety-is-the-crux-of-any-marketplace-carousell-co-founder.html\">consumer trust and safety<\/a> is the crux of any marketplace. He shared that the company reduced fraud on its platform by 67% in 2020.
