marketplace Carousell is urging landlords on its platform to offer free short-term lodging to Malaysian employers in the city-state who are affected by the temporary lockdown in their href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-04-02\/here-s-how-the-coronavirus-has-hurt-the-economy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">waves of dispirited sentiments on the global economy<\/a>, there was substantial seed funding activity in Southeast Asia in March.<\/li>\n<li>In an exhaustive list, <a href=\"https:\/\/e27.co\/despite-global-health-crisis-march-remained-an-exciting-month-for-early-stage-startups-in-sea-20200401\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">e27<\/a> curates all the seed funding rounds that have happened last month.<\/li>\n<li>Among the startups that announced funding include <a href=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/\/how-novocalls-click-to-call-widget-converts-leads-to-sales-ef365988d88e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Novocall<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/\/esports-to-surpass-traditional-sports-500-startups-invests-in-espl-b25bbdfd86fd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ESPL<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Could Singapore be the next hotbed for Indian startups?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>According to an analysis by <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/datalab\/why-singapore-is-a-promising-market-for-indian-startups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Datalabs by Inc42<\/a>, Singapore was regarded as one of the best Southeast Asian countries to cultivate Indian startups.<\/li>\n<li>Out of the surveyed companies, 34.29% already have a presence in the country.<\/li>\n<li>The piece further elaborated that Singapore and India have always made great efforts to collaborate.
