Saumil Shah of 500-backed <a href=\"https:\/\/energaia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EnerGaia<\/a> ultimately hopes the superfood will find itself into everyone\u2019s diet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"1067\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d94aae71d.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: EnerGaia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aquaculturealliance.org\/advocate\/just-add-sun-behind-energaias-evolving-spirulina-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a feature piece<\/a>, Saumil detailed how he improved upon cultivation methods of the past and used the rooftops of Bangkok to grow the blue-green algae although he\u2019s also exploring growing his crop at on-ground facilities.<\/li>\n<li>A former engineer with General Electric, Saumil and his team currently makes powdered spirulina, along with a 5 percent spirulina pasta and various snack products, and sells to manufacturers of energy bars, cosmetics and soap.<\/li>\n<li>Through collaboration with the Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation in Bangladesh and the UN Environment Program in Indonesia, EnerGaia is spreading awareness about spirulina in rural populations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Carousell helps creatives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The creative industry is reeling from the impact of Covid-19.
