A new logo also fronts the app.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWith over 100 brands currently on our platform\u200a\u2014\u200aincluding global brands like Vans and Converse, local heroes like Rally Movement and Matter Makers, and beauty brands like L\u2019Occitane\u200a\u2014\u200awe\u2019re continuing to build a diverse brand portfolio to provide the best omnichannel experience for our users,\u201d said David Jou, Pomelo\u2019s CEO and Co-founder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1200\" data-height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d9d718098.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: TechSauce<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The rebrand plays a significant role in the company\u2019s expansion plans for 2021, as it moves beyond Thailand into other countries in Southeast Asia. Alexandra Schonfrucht, who was the Head Buyer at JD Sports, has recently joined the company to drive brand partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Pomelo\u2019s broader omnichannel strategy also involves a feature called Tap, Try, Buy, which allows customers to order items online through the app or website, select a store or partner location to try on their selected items, and pay for only what they choose to keep.<\/li>\n<li>Tap Try Buy orders already make up almost half of the retailer\u2019s online orders, a percentage that has <a href=\"https:\/\/kr-asia.com\/our-e-commerce-business-grew-250-from-the-lockdown-qa-with-pomelo-ceo-david-jou\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grown<\/a> during the Covid-19 crisis.<\/li>\n<li>Check out the Pomelo app on the <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/my\/app\/pomelo-fashion\/id1098083916\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App Store<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.mobile.pomelo&amp;hl=en&amp;gl=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Play<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Work, for all<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/e27.co\/startup-of-the-month-november-malaysian-platform-for-verified-part-timers-goget-20201030\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">e27<\/a>, Francesca Chia, co-founder, and CEO of 500-backed <a href=\"https:\/\/goget.my\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GoGet<\/a>, shared a story about a mother who had reached out to her for job opportunities, despite being considered as qualified and well-spoken.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cShe was someone who spoke fluent English and had graduated from university and seemed like someone who did not need the service. But she answered that as a mother she had been out of the workforce to take care of her child but now wanted to get back in and find a job. But she had not worked for so long that she couldn\u2019t find work,\u201d Francesca said.<\/li>\n<li>To Francesca, the encounter was \u201ccrazy\u201d because \u201cthese people are honest, hardworking individuals that want to get back into the economy and they can\u2019t.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"730\" data-height=\"486\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d9d764331.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: GoGet<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>GoGet champions a work culture of the future, in which people can choose how and when they work.<\/li>\n<li>The Malaysian platform now has 20,000 GoGetters providing a suite of ad-hoc services to 300,000 independent users and 5,000 business partners, including IKEA and L\u2019Or\u00e9al.<\/li>\n<li>GoGet believes it\u2019s important to offer them a sense of security.
