Based on Pakistan Today\u2019s analysis of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics\u2019 (PBS) data, pharmaceutical drugs take up 62% of total healthcare spending in Pakistan.<\/li>\n<li>Dawaai is a digital health platform operating as an online pharmacy targeting both the B2B (retail pharmacies, medical stores and businesses) and the B2C segments across the country.<\/li>\n<li>Online pharmacies have given the nation\u2019s population of over 200 million greater access to healthcare, currently served by only <a href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2110015\/peddling-death-opinion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4,000 licensed pharmacies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Dawaai\u2019s model, which seeks to provide a better buying experience and lower price points for consumers, is welcomed in the industry, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/profit.pakistantoday.com.pk\/2020\/10\/24\/who-will-disrupt-the-rs500-billion-pharmaceutical-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pakistan Today<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The entire pharmaceutical industry is regulated by the Pakistani government, who sets both the retail price and the retailers\u2019 margins, thus keeping prices accessible for consumers. Recently, it <a href=\"https:\/\/campaignbriefasia.com\/2020\/11\/04\/72andsunny-singapore-launches-hyper-targeted-car-campaign-for-carousell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced a tie-up<\/a> with creative agency 72andSunny to launch an automotive campaign in the island-nation.
