The government aspires to attain upper-middle-income status by 2030.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWith the support of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Khmer Enterprise and 500 Startups will work together to build featuring programmes from ideation to investment readiness,\u201d said Chhieng Vanmunin, CEO of Khmer Enterprise.<\/li>\n<li>According to Christine Tsai, CEO and Founding Partner of 500 Startups, \u201cCambodia\u2019s economy and talent are at an inflexion point for rapid growth, and we are confident that this programme will help local founders build strong companies that will push the boundaries of what is possible.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>How will it work? The partnership will bring together entrepreneurs from across the kingdom to participate in bootcamps to improve the readiness of local startups for international markets and investors.<\/li>\n<li>There will also be showcases to raise the profile of the Cambodian ecosystem to the global stage by connecting startups with key industry stakeholders and corporate partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>e-cycling for sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rideneuron.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neuron Mobility<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rideneuron.com\/neurons-new-e-bikes-will-soon-be-on-darwins-streets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> it will soon launch its first ever e-bike program in Darwin, Australia, adding to its current offering of e-scooters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"1066\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d9b1d911d.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Neuron\u00a0Mobility<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>A fleet of 150 e-bikes will be available for hire across the city starting early December.<\/li>\n<li>This program complements their existing e-scooter program with the city which has been extended for a further 12 months, with an expanded riding area and 150 additional e-scooters.<\/li>\n<li>With the introduction of e-bikes, riders will be able to go on longer journeys as they can \u201ctravel faster on bike paths, footpaths, and low-speed roads.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The program will launch with over 30 parking stations and a 15-square kilometer riding area covering the central business district, and more.<\/li>\n<li>Safety features from the startup\u2019s e-scooters will be available on the e-bikes, including the app-controlled helmet lock, a 000 emergency button, voice guidance, topple detection and a \u201cFollow my Ride\u201d function enabling users to share their real-time location with friends and family.<\/li>\n<li>Geofencing\u200a\u2014\u200aa virtual perimeter set up within the app\u200a\u2014\u200awill ensure the e-bikes are being used in the riding areas and parked at designated stations.<\/li>\n<li>The e-bikes will be available at the same price as the e-scooters.<\/li>\n<li>This news comes after an <a href=\"https:\/\/techau.com.au\/neuron-mobility-is-launching-electric-scooters-in-adelaide-brisbane-darwin-canberra-and-townsville\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announcement<\/a> in September where Neuron Mobility partnered with Australian councils to operate across 8 locations, with plans to expand to \u201cat least five new cities\u201d. This will lead to the creation of approximately 400 new jobs split between Australia and New Zealand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A force in healthtech<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This year, 500-backed healthcare solutions provider Vault Dragon celebrates 7 years in the industry. In an <a href=\"https:\/\/vaultdragon.com\/how-vault-dragon-is-building-a-thriving-digital-healthcare-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">article<\/a>, the startup looked back at its journey from inception till date, and shared future goals\u200a\u2014\u200adriven by the vision to become \u201cAsia\u2019s Google Maps for healthcare data\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Founded in July 2013 in Singapore, the startup built systems to digitize the nation\u2019s healthcare industry by helping clinics transition away from hard copy medical records. Over the years, these systems were introduced in China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia.<\/li>\n<li>It also offers a <a href=\"https:\/\/e27.co\/vault-dragon-gets-us1-16m-pre-series-a-to-bring-your-medical-records-to-the-digital-era-20170217\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tablet-based system<\/a> for doctors to create and manage medical records on the go.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7d9b2a7e09.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Vault\u00a0Dragon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Its healthcare software has since been used by 650 healthcare providers and it \u201ceffectively manages more than 1,200,000 records for over 37 hospitals and medical groups in five countries.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>When the pandemic hit, the startup saw \u201ca steady rise in revenue growth in its existing and new markets with positive projections going into 2021\u201d, and has set a target of ~US$3.3 million in revenue for the next 18 months.<\/li>\n<li>Future plans? \u201cBuilding an online marketplace for medical supplies and consumables, and linking medical suppliers to the system,\u201d.
