According to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-sets-up-carsome-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, this makes the startup the first integrated car e-commerce platform to provide skill set courses and certification.<\/li>\n<li>Accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources, the institution offers Malaysian youths technical education and guaranteed career opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1024\" data-height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db50dbc7b.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: CarSifu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-sets-up-carsome-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According<\/a> to Carsome co-founder and Carsome Academy Director Teoh Jiun Ee, Carsome Academy is a human capital development initiative that aims to create positive social impact in the local communities where Carsome operates.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWe want to build a technical workforce that strives for the best standards in professionalism and ethics to move the Southeast Asian used car industry forward in a meaningful way and to serve our customers better,\u201d he said.<\/li>\n<li>What does the training entail? Featuring 30% theoretical lessons and 70% workplace training at any Carsome Inspection Centers in Malaysia, students will go through 1,840 hours of learning over one year. Graduates can also look forward to jobs in Carsome upon completing the program.<\/li>\n<li>Its inaugural intake, which starts in February 2021, is now open for registration to eligible Malaysians.<\/li>\n<li>The one-year course costs ~US$2,000 and is fully refundable upon a graduate\u2019s successful placement and tenure with Carsome. Study loans are also available for students who wish to further their studies at the Academy.<\/li>\n<li>Read the full announcement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carsome.my\/news\/item\/carsome-sets-up-carsome-academy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Crossing over to South Korea<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed cross-border financial settlement startup <a href=\"https:\/\/emq.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EMQ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/emq.com\/emq-expands-global-payment-capabilities-into-south-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> it has expanded its operations into the South Korean market.<\/li>\n<li>The startup develops network infrastructure to offer the benefits of faster, transparent, and more efficient cross-border payments.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cSouth Korea has one of the most vibrant digital economies in the world with its retail e-commerce volume estimated at $90.5 billion by 2024, and global business would require access to an agile network infrastructure like EMQ that facilitates seamless cross-border payouts in local currencies without multiple intermediaries,\u201d said Max Liu, co-founder and CEO of EMQ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"962\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db5146bc9.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Tech in\u00a0Asia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Already live in South Korea, the startup can now provide global businesses with the full breadth of its services, including foreign exchange capabilities and real-time anti-money laundering screening.<\/li>\n<li>The latest development follows a recent series of expansions to bolster the startup\u2019s network infrastructure globally, which spans over 80 global markets throughout Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, and North America.<\/li>\n<li>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/emq.com\/emq-expands-global-payment-capabilities-into-south-korea\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>, EMQ has also enhanced its product portfolio to offer cross-border payments across China, Singapore, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Nepal, Philippines, the United Kingdom, and 19 markets in Africa, with more markets underway for near real-time capabilities by Q1 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Paving the path to sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed e-scooter startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rideneuron.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neuron Mobility<\/a> announced it will launch in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rideneuron.com\/neuron-e-scooters-are-coming-soon-to-newcastle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newcastle<\/a>, UK, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rideneuron.com\/neuron-e-scooters-are-coming-to-dunedin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dunedin<\/a>, New Zealand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"1066\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7db51df723.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Neuron\u00a0Mobility<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Both cities can expect to welcome the startup\u2019s latest N3 e-scooters, which have been purpose-built for safety and renting.<\/li>\n<li>Safety features will be available on the e-scooters, including the app-controlled helmet lock, a 000 emergency button, voice guidance, topple detection, and a \u201cFollow my Ride\u201d function enabling users to share their real-time location with friends and family.<\/li>\n<li>Geofencing\u200a\u2014\u200aa virtual perimeter set up within the app\u200a\u2014\u200awill ensure the e-scooters are being used in the riding areas and parked at designated stations.<\/li>\n<li>In Newcastle, each e-scooter will be fitted with a unique license plate for easy identification and to promote responsible use. The startup is also launching a range of \u2018smart parking\u2019 initiatives to control and encourage safe parking, many of which are a first for the UK.<\/li>\n<li>Newcastle was recently highlighted as the British city most prepared to benefit from the e-scooter revolution, thanks to its excellent road and cycle infrastructure.
