These platforms will encourage corporations to source innovative businesses within the startup ecosystem that can add value to their organizations.<\/li>\n<li>500 fellowships will be launched to improve expertise in areas including cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and healthtech. These fellows will be able to help various stakeholders in the startup ecosystem better understand the different deep tech sectors.<\/li>\n<li>The government\u2019s venture debt program will be extended and enhanced, with an increase in the cap on loan quantum support from US$3.8 million to US$6 million.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>A labor of love<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>500-backed Malaysian startup <a href=\"https:\/\/nikahsatu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nikahsatu<\/a> has been on a mission to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theedgemarkets.com\/article\/digital-event-planning-helping-brides-get-their-wedding-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">capture the wedding industry<\/a>. How? By making planning stress-free and financially accessible for all brides and also getting vendors paid on time.<\/li>\n<li>Serving an average of 2,000 brides monthly via its website, the startup brands itself as a one-stop center, allowing a bride to customize any aspect of her wedding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"955\" data-height=\"648\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7dbae2000d.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Nikahsatu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>Having successfully navigated the pandemic, Nikahsatu\u2019s next focus is to penetrate as many cities and towns as possible. \u201cThere is a gap in tier-2 cities of quality affordable wedding solutions, which will allow us to serve these underserved markets,\u201d co-founder Rushdi Razif said.<\/li>\n<li>According to Rushdi, the startup currently owns about 8% of the [~US$1.7 billion] Malaysian market. It will work towards getting a larger share of as much as 30\u201340% for the next three years. An expansion into Indonesia is also part of its five-year plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Back to the office<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In an ambitious plan to help restart the economy, 500-backed Covid-19 testing startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prenetics.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prenetics<\/a> will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9257973\/City-firms-start-using-digital-health-passports-staff-office.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">providing health screenings<\/a> to more than 100 companies in London.<\/li>\n<li>Its digital health passport will store results of employee\u2019s Covid-19 tests and vaccine certificates. Available on an app, employees will scan their phones upon arrival at the office and gain access if given the all-clear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1600\" data-height=\"1064\" src=\"https:\/\/dailymarkup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_60f7dbaebcd9b.jpg\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Credit: Tatler\u00a0HK<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The startup will also operate testing \u2018pods\u2019 for companies and is handling many of the rapid 15-minute tests that the UK government is offering to fund for all firms with more than 50 employees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Missed out the last Daily Markup?
